Default PB/polybutylene piping?

I found this on a home built in 1989. Any and all stamped markings on pipe were non legible. This pic is just downstream from main service pipe. Most fixtures had copper attachments and I could not see the connections. All I really have to go from is this pic.

Is this PB? If so, I need to notify my client that the class action lawsuit ends in 2009. And essentially this deal will be killed!

Any help would be appreciated.
