Default Plumbers Helper

Fellow Inspectors,

This is from yesterday. Rehab of a rancher. The plumber connected the dishwasher supply line to the left pipe. Unfortunately for him, that was the cold water supply. Also note the unique installation of the dishwasher waste line after the trap.

Left pipe is usually the hot water line. Are you sure the lines are installed correctly?

True enough...I've seen plenty of water lines reversed, to include a sink at my In-laws.

Left was cold. The kitchen faucet had been turned around so the red handle was on the right side. Wrote that up also
