Rough cut thru upstairs closet exposing guest bathroom
behind the bath tub.... Physical observation revealed no defects...and I ran the water from the tub faucet for over 10 minutes....no signs of leaking present or past. Anybody have reasons for this condition ? David ![]()

Working on the overflow. It looks like there was some dripping at the back of the tub. They probably had a bad gasket or the drain control was stuck or corroded. But seeing the PEX, it isn't that old. Hmmm. What are the wires for?

These type of openings are quite typical behind tub walls. If there's no obvious water damage, it simply needs an accessible cover.
