I found white PVC tubing used as the main water supply line from the well. The only markings found are as follows: American PVC 1120 BP-2, SCH40 ASTM d-1785 370 PSI 73 degree F ASTM D-2665. Does any body know if this is correct tubing to use?

This really depends on your area and plumbing code. It was not legal to use where I plumbed (UPC). I would be more comfortable using a schedule 80 rather than 40 but personally would not use either one. PVC does not handle temperature fluctuations well. It will expand and contract quit a bit.
