Default Sealing the base of a toilet

I have never called it either way, but does anyone have an opinion on whether it is good or bad to seal the outer perimeter base of a toilet at the floor. It seems to me like caulking around the base of toilet may actually trap moisture and/or conceal a leak at the wax seal.
Thoughts?

Yes it does. One trick is to leave a small gap in the back.

It sure makes it easier to clean the floor especially when you stand up to pee. I keep telling the wife to sit down .

Just kidding, really hun I was just kidding......ouch...
