Default Sump Discharge - Who does this?

Sump discharge laying on-grade about 3 feet out from foundation. I don't understand why someone would do it this way and be ok with it.

That splash block isn't doing any good either.

Nope...there was evidence of moisture intrusion on the inside of that corner.

You get those 3' sections of flexible, corrugated plastic at the orange box and attach a nice 10-12' run on all downspouts where possible.

My discharge is buried and is about 70 feet from the house .

I'd be okay with that Roy. It's being right on grade that has me worried about mechanical damage, people tripping on it and breaking it, animals moving in, etc.
