Default T&P Valve Test Handle

A client of mine removed his hot water tank T&P valve test handle. He was afraid the kids might play with the handle and burn their feet. Does anyone see a problem?

Only if you test at an inspection. I don't want it to stick in the open position so I don't operate them, just see if they are there.

Yes. Children old enough to reach a TPR valve should be old enough to be taught not to play with it. Recommend replacing parents with ones that can teach responisibily and disipline.
