Default Toilet flange

Shouldn't this toilet flange drop immediately drop into a elbow before droping into sewer. there is a toilet above this in the pic.

toilet traps are actually part of the toilet Jim....is that what you are asking....that looks ok to me unless there is something I am not seeing...

Nothing wrong I can see other than the ackward pipe support. Looks like a piece of copper holding up the other and corroded.

Also, is the smaller drainage pipe a vent?

Thanks, yes it is a vent.
For some reason I am thinking the initial drop into the abs must be a elbow. Then turn again into the waste line. Guess not.
