toilet space

does anyone know the required space in front of the toilet
by this i mean the space from the toilet to the wall or the tub
is it 24 inches or 36 inches

Not to be confused with ADA which is 18" (side) and 48" (front).

If you know the size of your client (and family members) what a "code" says could be irrelevent. I would call out the inconvenience to my client on a cramped space that met the minimum standard if I thought he might have a problem with it.
