Default Trac Pipe

Does the Trac Pipe have the same concern as CSST with lightning strikes & the need for bonding?

Default Re: Trac Pipe

The question should be: Does it need additional bonding?

It already should have bonding via the furnace or oven's EGC.

The additional bonding, clamp with #6 solid copper at the gas meter piping to the electrical GEC is required in some areas.

The black coated CSST called counterstrike does not need the additional bonding if manufactured after a certain date, see the attached bulletin for the date etc.

The type shown in your picture should have the additional bonding but may not be required in some areas yet.
