washing machine drain

Question on the drain for the washing machine. No stand pipe. The drain line actually forms a trap as it loops down and then goes up. This stills needs a standpipe for air gap, correct? I am writing it up as needing one.

Still needs both a standpipe and trap. The manufacturers drain hose is not acceptable for a trap.

Where does it eventually terminate? Most manufacturers have a recommended limit to the height of the drain hose. Does it go all the way up to the ceiling and tap into a drain line?

Anytime potable water and wastewater are combined (washer, water softener, etc.) there needs to be an air gap or equivalent device to prevent cross-contamination.

Yes, it goes up between the joists and connects to a drain line. thanks for the help.
