Exclamation Water Heater protection in garage (Florida)

bollard protection for water heater?

Does anybody knows the code (FLORIDA) for the protection of the mechanical equipment installed in the garage?

The correct terminology is "BOLLARD"

I need the code number.

Thanks,

This is what the code states.

502.3 Water heaters installed in garages.

Water heaters shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions, which shall be available on the job site at the time of inspection.

You can access all of the Florida Building codes through the link below.

Greg,
the question is about barriers. A Realtor mentioned to me this week about a situation with the barrier. USinspect stated in a inspection that the mechanical equipmet in the garegae shall be protectec by a barrier. I checked the Florida building code and can not find anything to that effect. Any thoughts on the subject???

It just to protect does not give specifics.
