Default Water Heater strapping, pic included

is the way this water heater is strapped ok?
Its strapped from the top.

I don't believe it meets seismic bracing requirements, check the first article for your zone requirements and instructions on proper bracing

It also looks like the TPR valve does not have an extension and the gas supply does not have a drip loop.

Not in CA. . .

Two straps are required. One in the upper and lower thirds of the unit. Straps must be listed and approved for the application.

No drip legs required in most parts of CA Linus.
