Default Water Heater Vented To Basement Slab

Inspection today, new gas water heater with powered vent. The vent pipe terminates in the basement slab. Any thoughts? Can't re-size the photos correctly to meet the size limitations imposed on this board.

Well, it needs to vent to the outside properly and, typically, slope up on its way.

Go here and download the image resizer. Then you can highlight as many pictures as you want to resize, right click on them, click resize image and chose the size you want and it will save the original pics and create the new pics of the size chosen. Works great. Try it.

Well, that's one way to keep the radon out.
Seriously, I can't believe that you could get proper venting with that much back pressure.
Go online and see what the manufacturer has to say.
