What's the snow load like in your area? From watching some US TV, I remember some quite deep buildup in upstate NY. I would check on prescriptive framing requirements for the area and wet snow loads.....can get upwards of 30-40 lbs/sq ft in worst conditions.

BTW....my university hockey coach at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick coached at Rensselaer Polytech before moving back to Canada.

I live in Troy -RPI is down the street. I watched many hockey games because my friend's son was a player. He's Matt Murley. He now is in Europe playing. Was wit Penquins as of last year. Room mates with Crosby before traded.

We got 30 inches of snow last winter and the roof stile stands. They should be alright. thanks.
