I came across a dehumidifier that keeps icing up. We shut it off and let it defrost and it keep freezing up
. It is located in a damp new home basement. Do you think the dehumidifier is too small? Or what causes it to ice up? Thanks Christopher Bouchea 920-499-7431 email: cbouchea@new.rr.com |

poor air flow through the unit.
maybe the fan is malfunctioning. room temp may be too low. most units call for a min temp of 65-70* is it a total frost over, or just partial? is it on the basement floor? if so, elevate it and see what happens. |
