Gable ends for wind mit inspections

Is a gable less than 3 feet high-considerd a gable in the roof composition?

Is a two story brick constructed home, with double wythe brick construction and the ceilings following the trusses, still considered a gable end of the home and roof construction as no “gable bracing” is able to be observed as it is an interior conditoned space of the home?

Oh by the way, I just finished an inspection of a new home (CO 2011) with no gable bracing.

The bracing requirement for gables is dependent on many factors. Such as wind speed zone, exposure category, truss design, truss lumber species and grade among others

A gable is a gable no matter how large, for roof shape

Bracing is required based on the code, the old MSFH(does not apply anymore) used 3’ as a determining factor to check for bracing.
