I did some enhancing and notes on Randy's pic. Maybe he has more pics to help clarify this. I think I have changed my oringinal conclusion. These trusses don not appear to be correct. More pics might help.

There is a difference in the cord layout from Randy's initial picture. Randy's pictures show the cords on their sides, while Dales pic's the cords are on their vertical plane, if that makes sense? Either way it seems that these trusses are both in use.

I agree ... for top bearing wood floor trusses there should usually be a beefed up top cord at the bearing (steel is a completely different story). Take a look at typical truss manufacturer's details and the WTCA standard details.

I did not see any stamps on them but they do appear to be professionally manufactured, the section you’re seeing was less than a ten by ten area supporting a kitchen over the porch. The same trusses on the other side of the cinder block wall concerns me, being that it supports an 18 foot span of the remainder of the two story cottage. These are not visible as the basement is finished. I assume they are cut the same way (a mirror image). The house is ten years old with no tell-tell signs of settlement yet.
There doesn’t seem to a majority consensus here on whether this is critical structual flaw?

None of the pics or illustrations represent your trusses exactly. Look at the configuration of the web. It matters greatly on the performance on the truss. I think it would be nessessary to find out the manufacture and request their installation guidelines to be sure.
