New home, 2x8 rafters, 16" OC. 12/12 pitch. All homes in the development have no "H" clips in roof decking....is this allowed? Calling all roofing gurus.

They are only needed for 24" OC around here with 7/16 or 15/32 sheathing.

Same here, used on 24" OC trussed roofs.
I normally use 5/8 plywood but still use the H clips. |

Does the stamping on the sheathing call for spacing of 1/8"?? I have seen OSB that does.

Could it be 5/8" T&G Advanteck where there is no need of H-clips?

The state of South Carolina has adopted the ICC codes. I have provided some copies of tables, articles, and graphics that you should feel free to use. There are some terrific "technical websites" out there for all of our members to gather information from. South Carolina Statewide
