Default ranch with garage, floor elevation

Does anyone know where I can find the requirements,if any, regarding the floor elevation difference when the home has a garage on the same level as the lowere living level. I have a ranch with a garage where the garage and living space are the same floor, no grading or elevation difference? Any help would be appreciated.

I've never seen a requirement for the lower garage floor elevation. The typical lower garage floor is a result of the requirement for the dwelling foundation to be 6 inches above finish grade. With the garage floor typically a little above the finish grade you should end up with a lower garage floor.
