Default Sidewalk problems

Heres another picture the sidewalk broke away from front porch.

Do you have any other pictures around the foundation of the home.

Not sure if you have a crawl, slab, basement or what but often builders (grading contractor) fails to properly pack down the soil around the foundation....and the above is the result. That in itself does not mean the foundation is a problem.

Where are you located and is the foundation a peir and grade beam type?

From the picture, I can almost guarantee that you have large quantities of water coming off the roof during a rain and ponding in the area around the sidewalk, slowly washing away and compacting the soil on which the sidewalk rests.
