HIT this again, rather important for those who assume shtt.
http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283

PIC 3....
Is this NEW driveway pitched-sloped away enough for ya? Huh? Yes or no.

Have had city inspectors tell HO`s to get new driveway when they have leaky driveside wall/basement and that the new driveway being pitched correctly will SOLVE the leaky basement!

WRONG again. Please tell us exactly how a new driveway and/or raising/sloping the grade away repairs/waterproofs a crack in basement wall?
Help me w/this SHTT. PIC 16
http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283

Some rod holes were already repaired, poorly...still leak, others leak...these are on the driveside wall, right under the NEW driveway. http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283

Pic 15 driveside rod holes.
Pic 2 even have a lil bs curb-drainge-waterdiverting turd for ya, wow, that really helps too. Come on.

Rod holes are LEAKING because they aren`t/weren`t repaired correctly, has NOTHING to do with pitch of driveway. If there was a crack in driveside basement wall, it would need to be waterproofed, crack is.....open, allows water under the dumb driveway to....enter. New drive doesn`t fix the actual PROBLEMS.

A new driveway pitched away can divert some surface-water to....the other side of the driveway, doesn`t repair dog shtt! Never has, never will.
A new driveway will not keep all subsurface water away from entire DEPTH of basement wall....blcchtt. Water that drops from the SKY and lands on grass next to driveway will go into the soil and can travel/percolate through the soil down and....sideways....UNDER the new driveway and towards the basement wall, crack, rod holes and enter.

Same goes for some of the surface water that was diverted off driveway onto grass. Only way most-not all of that water goes down is IF its sand,most-all sand.

Ok so lets say HO follows whomevers recommendation and gets a new driveway and doesn`t waterproof crack, and it leaks. Who pays to waterproof crack? Who didn`t need the new driveway that was supposed to solve leaky crack, rod holes?

Water Woes, Omaha

http://www.wahoonewspaper.com/site/t...d=559850&rfi=6

They been playing water-diverting games w/surface water...lotsa luck!

Apparently spent $37,000 on a retaining wall assuming it would solve problem....waste.

Then laid SOD along wall(s), told homeowners that would fix problems.

Looks like latest 'solution' LOLOL is to put a swale in.

Hey....how about DEFINING where-how the dumb water is ENTERING instead of playing around and trying to divert x-amount of surface water and wasting tens of thousands of dollars. J kkkrrriisssttttt man!

Looking at lone picture of one house/basement....at least part of the problem will be openings/gaps on exterior either just below grade and/or just above grade. Can see its a block wall w/water stains waaay up-high.FIND any-all gaps-openings-cracks etc on EXTERIOR and....fix em will ya please!

This will...stop/prevent water from entering

May-might also be a crack(s) on exterior and/or a crappy az parging job, parging might have been applied too thin and/or crappy az damproofing job and backfilled w/shtt soil that has already pulled down-eroded the thin asphalt that may have been sprayed-rolled on.

You CANNOT SEE cracked-loose or thinly applied parging from inside basement.
You can`t see open gaps between blocks that are just below grade and other openings like gaps/spaces under bsmt window sills, you can`t see ALL exterior cracks from inside basement

Say again, at least part....maybe all of problems....of house in lone pic is either just below grade, along grade and/or above grade OPENINGS that allow water into the hollow blocks. Maybe...i dunno...consult an honest-expert BEFORE spending $37,000 on retaining wall, $ on sod and now $4,900 for swale.

Look fer shtt like this... pic`s 5,6,7,8,9 http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283

Retaining wall, swale, laying sod etc etc etc etc etc does NOT repair/fix these and any other direct exterior openings.

Preventing Rodent Infiltration
http://www.bobvila.com/HowTo_Library...rol-A3223.html

-Your best solution to stop pests from damaging your home is to keep them OUT of your house in the first place.
Your Home... 'leaks can widen any holes and create entranceways'

Water entering-running through-cracks can widen cracks, lateral soil pressure/roots/porch footings can cause cracks or widen existing cracks.

Does an inside drain tile or baseboard system w/sump repair-waterproof cracks and other exterior openings like these? Umm, no. http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283

http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283

Pic`s 3-5 Knocking out concrete to waterproof 17', vertical cracks in block wall....leaks.Efflorescence on wall, paint peeling.
See how another HO tried to divert surface water? Tar etc where drive meets house, this is a Haege-supposed-remedy. Blccchttt, it LEAKS!

They also poured concrete along house(17" wide strip) in an attempt to keep water outta basement. It`s 7" thick. Dumbazz

Next house, poured wall, vertical crack and leaky rod holes.
Somebody previously dug out,put same soil (clay) back, mistake.
Where is the ruined landscaping after work is done?
Hear all the time how costly exterior-waterproofing is...more BLLLCHTT.
$775 fer this. You wanna fix it right or play games. Wanna sell the house without worry, well do the shtt right will ya please.

Last house, HO raised and sloped grade against unprotected bricks, joints.
Did it work? Nope.

Block wall, homeowner leaks at-near corner only. Quite a bit of mold and efflorescence on inside-corner-wall. Cost to repair w/bchht city permit $975

1-13
Asphalt-mastic held up well but they didn`t use hydraulic cement in/over crack and didn`t completely fill/patch old gas line hole and there are a few open mortar joints.

14-23
Concrete contractor did this chimney, told HO she was all set, pffft.
They dug down about 18-24", hardly waterproofs the rest of chimney walls. Plus they didn`t seal some mortar joints that are BELOW grade. Say again, raising-sloping that freakin soil doesn`t repair/waterproof anything.

Hey Inside-System installers.....hey, where the fk is all the ruined landscaping? Where is this big time expensive exterior cost? Knothead liars.
$950 to fix the sob correctly.

B Dry sold an Inside System to this lady about 10-12 years ago....they did NOT diagnose/determine the problems-causes correctly and/or did NOT care to.

2 other estimates run in last 3 days, homeowners also had B Dry put Inside System in. HO`s still fkg LEAK! One has a growing mold problem. ALL have cracks widening due to exterior soil pressure/roots. Lady with mold problem called em, know what the fk they told her?(according to her) We don`t deal with any mold problems, causes, remedies etc and will not come over to see.
Thats wonderful!

If anyone can`t read other links, look at pic`s posted and put 2 and 2 together then call Capizzo Constr, talk to Tony or Todd. Call Downriver Waterp`g, Joe will wake yer azz up on these Inside blcchtt systems too. Fk `n a.....WAKE UP PEOPLE will ya please! Yer getting stuffed like a Thanksgiving Day Turkey. http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283

...yeah,she needs more work/waterproofing...all she can afford right now.
Pic`s 4,5 step cracks in bricks ABOVE wall...wall is cracked and bowing inward.
7) nice vertical crack, its where water FIRST enters into hollow block wall, it is NOT visible from inside the basement. NOT because bsmt wall has paneling/drywall....no! It does NOT appear on inside of wall.
9) step cracks about 5' away from vertical crack. this crack IS visible inside but is hairline/thin. some will patch-cement over these cracks, then paint and sell house.
10) can ya see bow in wall? Huh? Maybe see pic 3...
11-14) see cracks, see screwdrivers? This kinda shtt does NOT APPEAR inside the basement.....wall looks fine. Does NOT mean there isn`t any crack/problem on outside. See how Inside Co`s can BLLCHTT people? Left one ROOT that is/was growing right against the dumb azz wall, right where its pushed in/cracked, there were others. Plus,lateral-soil-pressure.
15) about 2' or so off the corner, ya see the horizontal crack..see wall pushed in at TOP of first block? Huh?

This wall-cracks, and MANY others...isn`t deteriorating, isn`t getting worse?

Let me ask the almighty Haege,Inside-gurus etc....how the shtt will ANY INSIDE SYSTEM....REMOVE expanding-contracting SOIL and ROOTS off the outside of the freaking wall???????? Answer please. Shut the blcchtt stories down and answer the fkg question. Since B dry was there the wall has pushed in, cracks have WIDENED!!!

15-1 something else to chew on g dammit, for those who always tell homeowners they need helical piers when there are bricks that are cracked above the wall supposedly due to a cracked/dropped footing, hey, screw off!
LOOK at the footing, you see any crack, any settled footing? NO!!!!
Then go back and look at all pic`s posted, look at every footing, see any crack(s) in footing? Nooo! Not even a hairline crack, zip. Point is, many of these supposed Inside experts like to BLLCHTT many HO`s into a supposed need for helical piers etc due to THEIR ASSUMPTION of a cracked/dropped footing. Well, they`re smoking, snorting, shooting some funny shtt rekkktally in my honest---EXPERIENCED opinion.

17-19) and for those who assume the exterior drain tiles are sometimes/often the cause of cracks, leaks, bowed wall etc, yer full of shtt too. Sorry, got tired of trying to be nice years ago, take it like a man.

http://www.helitechonline.com/reside..._solutions.php

How the holy hell is it possible to remove/relieve/lessen LATERAL soil pressure and roots with somethig like this? It can`t do squat laterally and, doesn`t repair/waterproof the fkg cracks!

Put a new driveway in? Mudjack slabs? Raise-slope grade? French drain? Paint inside wall with Drylok?
How will ANY of these repair the cracks, stop water-insects etc?
How will ANY of these remove expanding-contracting soil and roots?
NOT GONNA HAPPEN but, do as you wish.

First, you have not defined/diagnosed what the problem(s) is,the possibilities. Your selling an inside water-diverting system without defining the problem(s).

Might be a crack(s),might just be a leaky rod hole or 2 BEHIND the drywall along this 19', might be other exterior openings along-above grade and if ya took the drywall off you`d see water running from top of wall down if any problem/opening is above the wall, above grade. They state it is a poured wall.

Sheesh, if it`s just one or more rod holes then it would cost maybe $10 and take 10 minutes to fix the dumb leaky rod hole(s). If there water in running from top of wall down then the HO has 1 or more exterior openings along-above ground and will simply need some tuckpointing or maybe new bsmt window.

May be 1-2 cracks in wall along this 19', shtt, to waterproof the 2 cracks from outside it would cost around $1,200-1,450.

All these cost LESS than the waterguard-waterdiverting system some want to install and won`t stop-prevent water from where its first-entering.

Could also possibly be a blockage under floor, may only need a plumber to correctly snake storm trap cleanout, cost about $125-200. Sometimes water can accumulate under the floor and then rise up through floor crack(s) or along wall-floor joint....doesn`t mean they need a waterguard system. Point is, whats best for the HOMEOWNER is to first define/diagnose the problem, not just sell them some sort of inside waterdiverting system. NONSENSE!

Vapor barrier http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...Lw3-XnCA&hl=en

Basement waterproofing or water-diverting,vapor barrier http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...LEqcjyCA&hl=en

Got those walls covered quickly, don`t wanna show `em?
Vapor barrier doesn`t stop-prevent mold and when the HO`s problem is exterior crack(s),loose-cracked parging etc, water is still going to enter through walls. Hmmm, did they define-locate the real reasons water is entering or just sell the inside system they only or prefer to install.

They state themselves the best way to manage the growth of mold and mildew is to PREVENT the intrusion of water and moisture... http://www.allprobasement.com/healthyhome/mold.htm

This article backs that up, Pg 3 says...'Find the moisture, eliminate the moisture, clean up the mold' http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/Story?id=131638&page=3
Pg 7 says..'Locate and fix water leaks immediately.....cleaning up the mold is not enough. You must find the water source and eliminate it' http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/Story?id=131638&page=7

Yet for some reason its apparently ok for those who only-most often install inside systems to continue to allow water-moisture-insects to enter, put some kind of vapor barrier or sheeting against the inside wall(s) and divert the water around perimeter and pump it back out.

How about block wall, exterior cracks, wall pushing in...what about this shtt? Not worried about cracks widening, wall bowing in more? Further deterioration of wall is ok? Don`t think termites, ants, centipedes etc won`t enter exterior cracks and other openings? http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283

Inside system was installed here, see walls? http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283 They were recently painted. See how an inside vapor barrier or a sheeting some put against wall, can hide/conceal shtt? Will hide cracks, cracks that can widen, wall bowing in etc. Does make a cozy area for insects.

If buying a house,if basement is finished or there was an inside system installed w/this kind of barrier placed against wall, how ya gonna know what condition walls are really in? Huh? Doesn`t matter? lol

Maybe a wall looks like first 4 pics here... http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...6/t_=122238283
