Had this on a house today. I know it's pretty common to see some cracks, but I couldn't see what it did above the window (soffit). There was a small crack in the foundation and stair stepped up to the window. Is this worth raising much concern?

These appear to be hairline or smaller cracks.
From the photos they appear to follow the brick mortar. I note any and all cracks I observe (regardless of size). I also inform the client all cracks should be sealed and monitored for any future movement or problems. If the cracks are larger or appear to be offset or there are a large number of cracks, I would recommend further investigation, evaluation and-or repairs. |
