Default What type of insect damage?

Anyone have any idea what type of damage this is in the skip sheathing? The small holes suggest it would be insect, but I just wasn't sure what it might be. No other evidence in the surrounding areas.

Matt, going on your comment of "small holes"... possibly anobiid beetles, or other wood borers.

It looks like a type of rot fungus that attacks the sapwood (soft outer portion) of a log, then shows up in utility grade lumber. Not a major threat, not insect related, IMO.

Without more info, or additional pics I would have to agree. Must be that Douglas Fir from the Coast Range.
