I think this is a great class for InterNACHI Home Inspectors considering use of a Infared Camera in conjunction with NYS Home Inspections.

Even though NY State doesn't approve Infrared Thermal Camera classes for Home Inspection CE Credit, the fact that these classes are approved for InterNACHI credit and CMI Credit is great for InterNACHI and CMI Members.

I think that Cameras will be commonly used in the not so distant future, just like thermometers are currently used. Over time, States will adopt these instruments as part of the inspection. Until then, it is a great item to use, as needed for specific situations. Those who own this equipment, must learn how to use it properly, since there are always the potential of misuse, and conclusions.
