Order the IRC, take this free exam prep course (residential): http://www.nachi.org/residential-cod...-exam-prep.htm , then book the exam you want to take with ICC. They administer them in Denver and they are open book (IRC).

When you buy the book, buy the tabs too. They help you locate sections faster and it is a timed test (4 hours).

I passed no problem (I'm a licensed GC), so you should be able to ace it.

I would also suggest that you buy the loose leaf book (IRC).
