CEU for voluntary inspection related matter

Perhaps someone can offer me some assistance....

I was appointed to my local municipalities Heritage Committee. I attend 3-4 hours per month. The committee reviews, assess and reports to the town council on the various aspects of heritage buildings, etc. Part of the work entails site visits and assessing structures of heritage value. Seeing as my expertise/knowledge as a building inspector are being uitilized by the town, is this work acceptable toward CEU's?
