Inspection Education & Training This is a general forum for inspectors to discuss their educational experience, and to ask questions of InterNACHI's Education Committee. This forum is dedicated to the memory of InterNACHI member and educator Gerry Beaumont. Gerry was an avid proponent of education for inspectors and will be sorely missed.

Default commercial inspection training

I'm considering adding commercial inspections to my services however I'm having a difficult time finding a place for training/certification. Are there correspondence courses available for this?

What needs to be done in order for that to happen?

Vince,

I do not know what Joe's course is about, but I bet it's worth taking, and if I was you I would do what ever is necessary to line up enough people so Joe could get you started.

If you want to make more money than you ever dreamed possible, you need to start somewhere.

Joe could probably make that happen, regardless of where your located, the commercial business is the exact opposite of residential as far as I'm concerned anyway, makes no difference if homes are selling or not, you can make a very good living just inspecting commercial roofs if you wanted...!

Take Joe's class, even if you have to fly to his living room and pay him to teach it to you. You'll make it up on your first inspection. www.nachi.org/comsop.htm
