Inspection Education & Training This is a general forum for inspectors to discuss their educational experience, and to ask questions of InterNACHI's Education Committee. This forum is dedicated to the memory of InterNACHI member and educator Gerry Beaumont. Gerry was an avid proponent of education for inspectors and will be sorely missed.

Lightbulb Geothermal Training Course in Northeast Pennsylvania

It was suggested that I post this training event on the
messageboard.

Geothermal Installer Certification Training in Pennsylvania
The Pocono Northeast Resource Conservation & Development Council has partnered with HeatSpring Learning Institute to offer an Accredited Geothermal Installer Certification Course in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The course is scheduled for April 12 through April 14, 2010 in Bloomsburg, PA at the Columbia County Agricultural Center.

This training course is a three day comprehensive course focused on the design and installation of geothermal heating and cooling systems. The course includes an open book exam to become an IGSHPA Accredited Geothermal Installer. The course will include the fundamentals to build a strong foundation in the how and why of properly designed and installed geothermal heat pump systems, advanced topics related to selecting, sizing, and designing a ground source heating/cooling system, a directory listing in both International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) and HeatSpring Website, reference materials and collectors, 1-year IGSHPA Membership, and hands-on training in Pipe Fusion.

You will be learning to design and install geothermal systems from the author of the new IGSHPA Design and Installation Manual and obtain your credentials and manuals needed to be a geothermal installer. On the third day of the course, an open book exam is given to meet the accreditation requirements as a geothermal installer. This course is also approved for Continuing Education Credits - AIA Approved - 24 HSW LU Hours.
For more information - please visit the course website at
http://www.bfenvironmental.com

Because the Pocono Northeast Resource Conservation & Development Council is co-sponsoring this course – We are providing a discount code as an incentive to promote the installation and design of geothermal systems. During the registration process on the HeatSpring Website – use the promo code = “ pocono”

Thanks
