How to get certified in Colorado

I have just started looking into information about becoming a home inspector in Colorado and was wondering if someone could explain the steps needed to become NACHI certified. Also what sort of materials can one study prior to taking the NACHI inspectors exam? Are there any other requirements to become certified prior to the exam? How do you feel about a training program like AHIT or other programs offered online?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I already have close to 10 years of construction experience but need some guidance on how to properly enter this line of work.
