Absolutely not. But think about it. It is the oldest committee in NACHI and that is the best they have come up with.

A committee full of scholars and educators since its inception. All cognizant of at least the basic "Roberts Rules". If these gentlemen had been approached or presented this basic one line statement in the past and present they would have laughed it out of existence. (Maybe that is what happened. They didn't accept this travesty of a charter). How truly embarrasing for NACHI and its membership to be presented with this trash.

Can't wait to see the ESOP Committee charter.

Well at the very least it is a start, poor as it may be.

The way the Charter is written it allows a pretty wide birth. Therefore, I do not see where anything that any of the Education Members have or are trying to do, does not fall under the Charter.

Since I cannot post anything like this on the message board, I did not compose it.

As to the alleged lack of a charter known about in the past, I canstate that things, in general, may have changed as to authority and delegation of authority when Nick stepped down initially as Executive Director, and appointed a President.

From a purely legal standpoint, policies are put in place from time to time to protect corporate assets, and to limit scope and authjority of individuals and committees.

So, simply because a charter may or may not have been posted, does nothing to negate its validity. To Will Decker, you are correct, and thank you. By all means modify the charter, and submit it for review and approval.

I would like to know more about this tape. After all the law stipulates that "Under the statute, consent is not required for the taping of a non-electronic communication uttered by a person who does not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in that communication"

and unless the tape was made in the convention center itself, or the bar then anyone who is in it could have a reasonable expectation of privacy. So this tape should be looked at and could be deemed illegal under the law.

So whoever made this tape should be very careful on what they do with it. I would hate to see NACHI condone illegal activities suchs as illegal taping and stealing e-mails.
