Inspection Education & Training This is a general forum for inspectors to discuss their educational experience, and to ask questions of InterNACHI's Education Committee. This forum is dedicated to the memory of InterNACHI member and educator Gerry Beaumont. Gerry was an avid proponent of education for inspectors and will be sorely missed.

I don't do contractor work, but was just wondering here. Will this class give us the credentials that the EPA is looking for as part of the new lead program, or would you still need to take more classes to be compliant in the eyes of the EPA?

So a contractor could take the INACHI course and be compliant with the certification end of things?

Mostly. According to the course materials, the contractor will need to apply to the EPA to be a "Certified firm". The main requirement to be a certified firm is to have at least one certified renovator on staff to oversee any work. This course provides the certified renovator portion.
