Inspection Education & Training This is a general forum for inspectors to discuss their educational experience, and to ask questions of InterNACHI's Education Committee. This forum is dedicated to the memory of InterNACHI member and educator Gerry Beaumont. Gerry was an avid proponent of education for inspectors and will be sorely missed.

Default New England ASHI offer

Hi to all,

Jimmy Morrison has offered some complimentary vouchers for NACHI members to attend there next training session on 10/26/2006.

Quote:
STRUCTURE SEMINAR: The best teacher for a home inspector is another home inspector, or a respected affiliate member. This 3-credit seminar is something new. Four renowned experts, whom we all know, will speak individually for about 45 minutes on a structure related topic. They will debate the issue and take questions from the audience. Each topic will be presented in a manner useful for a home inspector who is not a civil or structural engineer, and will convey to the inspector what should be seen, what should be the opinion about what is seen, what should be the recommendation for correction or other action and how each of these should be reported to the client.

Speakers & topics include: Ken Kruger - "Collar Ties and Ridge Boards," Jack Digby – "Reporting Structural Deficiencies in Posts, Girders and Floor Joists," Sherman Price – "Differential Movement in the Exterior Walls," Rene Mugnier - "The most typical cracks in foundation walls, their interpretation and repair."

For further information please contact Ernie Simpson at 978/373-1390.
This is a realy nice jesture from New England ASHI and I hope a few members can benefit from this.

Regards

Gerry
