Online CEU Classes are NOT NYS Approved

NYS has decided NOT to approve any ON LINE Courses for Licensing for Continuing Education courses as per NYS 518-474-4429.

The good news for those who became licensed in 2006 and 2006, you only need 6 hours of continuing ed the first time you renew your license. Thereafter, you will need 24 hours every 2 years before renewal.

License Expiring in 2007 or 2008- 6 hours proof before 1st renewal
2009 and beyond- must provide proof of 24 hours before renewing

I received notification today that the state will not accept or entertain online or correspondence courses.

I wanted to see if we could test one and apply for same. I was informed that there are no provisions for online or correspondence courses.

Traditional Courses
Mandatory Attendance
Approved NYS Instructors
Certificates issued at conclusion of course
Notice of grads sent to state by school, school to send within 15 days
