ok.....7 People got this question wrong ( You know who you are....
The correct answer is 12 inches or 1 ft and is designed to give added support to the weakest point of the system in question...at the mast head where all the stress is put from the service drop and at the enclosures to ensure a pull away does not rely on the enclosure for total support.
