I don't rekey any data back in the office, I take pictures which are my notes.

Pocket 3D is installed on my smartphone but find the screen too small and not too legible in sunlight.

An IPAQ would help as they have larger and brighter screen but I like to spend time with the client during the inspection and not keying in or writting information.

But it would save time later in the office and I'm still debating on using an IPAQ though...

Hi Marcel,
You might not realize that there would be no need for you to buy a separate copy of "English 3D" in order to do reports in 3D in English and/or French. You certainly wouldn't have to buy the software again. You would just add English content/forms to expand your existing program.

There are free forms available for download on 3D's website under User Community that you may just add to your existing content to give you a choice. You could then expand/edit/customize the forms further to your liking.

Or you may even create English forms from scratch if you prefer- at worse, copy and paste your customized wording from your other program into 3D. You could even do that after starting with a free group of forms as a base. The included 3D Custom Form Studio gives you the power to create and use an unlimited number of different forms and reports.

Or you may purchase specialty forms from another user who has already designed them to easily add to your program and offers to sell them to others. For instance, if you like the French forms you started with, and would like the equivalent in English- I believe Paul Bousqeut may be working on an English version/translation of the same forms. If it would save you a lot of inspection time in the long run, and the forms are close to what you want, it might be worth it.

If you have any further question about various options, or about using Custom Form Studio, send a ticket to 3D tech support and they'll be glad to advise you further.

Thanks for you comments Jeff,

I was actually looking at them on the HP site last night; 4" diagonal transflective color TFT with backlight listed at $399.

But Dona,

Time is money and lots of time would be required to copy and paste my customized wording from my other program into 3D.

I could have done that with ReportPlus and not purchase *French 3D*...

Paul Bousquet's English version is certainly an option; I very much like his *French version*!

Thanks for the French dictionnary!
