Default Magicjack

I have been using this service for over six months and have been very happy with it. I use it for a second line in a different area and have the calls forwarded to my primary line. It cost 20 a year for a second line.

Greg,

Starting using one two weeks ago. It is working great.

I'm waiting for them to open up porting of numbers(so I can use my current number) before I switch over completely.

For $20 for the device and $20 a year it's a great deal.

Funny, I've seen some people saying quite the opposite about this service in another thread. I'll have to hear more opinions!

I called and left you a message using the majicJack.

I had a call quality issue the first day I used it but not since.

It doesn't require much bandwidth so it works well on DSL or Cable.
I have Comcast.

I think it was more the billing than the quality they were objecting to. They might have cleared up any problems though.

I have heard that also. They give you an option to get the equipment faster if you pay now instead of taking the 30 day trial. I think that is where most people get confused.

I had a problem in the beginning with people not being able to hear me on the other end. With a little research I found out that you can adjust the volume. That took care of the problem.

I have it, I do not like it, but it's a cheap way to create a voicemail box with a seperate number.

I purchased it through the internet. I do believe that it takes you to a secure page when you order.

Bob, it requires an active broad band connection and your computer has to be left on(not hibernate or sleep)

The computer has to be on for you to be able to make calls. I use mine for an Orlando number and have it forward to my main number (cell phone). The computer doesn't need to be on for it to forward the calls. I am going to get another one so that I have a Daytona Beach number also. I can have two extra lines in two different area codes for $40 a year.

Ok , I knew there was a reason it is not a good land line replacement for an older person.

You would not get calls unless computer was always on.(same answer , thanks Mike)
