Greg,

I've used Vonage for 2 years now (basically the same thing as magicjack)

Vonage allows you to keep an existing number AND has a seperate fax line.

I want to switch to MagicJack but...... have you tried sending or receiving faxes Greg...... or anyone?

If so and it works, I'm buying this MagicJack..... cause right now I pay $40 a month for Vonage (this includes the seperate fax line)

Thanks,
Ray

Could someone please comment on weather or not they have used MagicJack as a fax, sending or receiving??? Please

If some of you confirm that the fax works, I'm buying a MagicJack!

Thanks,
Ray

FAQ

Can I send and receive faxes using magicJack?

Sometimes.
We do not officially support using faxing with magicJack.
Please try the following steps to use magicJack with your fax (contact your fax vendor for details):
  1. Turn off error correction on your fax machine or program
  2. Set the fax machine or program to use the slowest speed available
  3. Increase the speed, checking at each speed that faxes work

You will just have to try it and see. If it doesn't then you can buy a online service for your fax with the savings. It would still be less than what you are paying now.

Thanks Michael..... I've seen this but my question is has anyone been successful in using it as a fax. Either sending a fax or receiving a fax.

Just looking for someone to say yes they have OR .... say no they were not successful in attempting to receive or send a fax.

Thanks
