Just buy any of them, in time you will acquire most of them in give aways. I have most of them and use none of them, the cheaper one are as good as the expensive so start under $500.

There are lots of others representing that category. Probably some home made jobs and the like. For anyone looking at software www.einspections.net is must to look at before deciding. It is easy to use flexible and puts out a killer report that agents love. The summary is very compact and a breeze. I have been against summaries for most of my career because I felt like they were either redundant or too skimpy and allowed the agent and client to skip the report. The summary for Einspections can include all comments in the report (if you want) in about 3-4 pages for a 30-40 page report.

Actually Home Inspector Pro has at least 43%
2 times more than the closest competitor.
There is a good reason for that.
HIP is the best.

I agree HIP does make a good product. How would you know that they have 43%? That is a really specific number.

I use Horizon - I'm really enjoying the portability (desktop, laptop, netbook or PDA - and back & forth between them if you want with the same report). Web based, so nothing to update, no big $$ software investment, just pay per report...
