I guess my question would be can you print the report?

If so you can turn it into PDF with that download.
Act like you are going to print and when the printer shows up at top in the list you can change it to PDF redirect.

There is a dropdown next to properties.
click and find redirect. Then print.

The software keeps telling me that adobe is open when it's not, so I can't print the report or create the PDF to e-mail.

Open task manager, end the adobe application/process/service and try again.

Can't get to a page where I have the print options like when you print a Word doc. The software creates a PDF and there are no options.

Adobe is definitely not running. If I uninstall to re-install, I'll lose the entire report.

Starting to cut and paste it all into a Word document...

Don't know how PV stores reports, but if it's a file with some .pv extension, can you save that file to a new location, and do the re-install?

How would you lose the report if you uninstalled Adobe (not PVS) and re-intalled?

BTW, sorry you have to go through this.

I've uninstalled and re-installed Adobe twice. Re-booted each time. No good.

Only thing I could think of would be if you could print normal and then scan the report.

I'd bet the next software you choose will have support readily available if needed, huh Kenton...man, that is unreal at best.

I don't know about you, but I would be furious right about now downloading something that works consistently and start the report over after calling my clients explaining my predicament....

Kenton,

Back up your libraries and send your report file to a "mobile transfer." You can then uninstall and reinstall PV without losing the report.

I've never had the issue you've described, but I would be livid if tech support was/is unavailable.

Good luck.

I just got this computer back from the shop and it came back with a bunch of settings changed. I'm sure that's what it is, I just don't know which setting.
Lorne has been good in the past about tech support but three days and no returned calls or e-mails? Very bad sign.

ESP bought out PV and I'm waiting to hear back from them. I asked whether PV is still in business. I'll post what I find out.

I thought I would install InspectVue on another computer first, transfer the files and try printing that way.

Dual core PC running Vista. 145 gigs available.

When I try to install I get an error message saying that the operating system is inadequate for running InspectVue Residential.

So I can't install the program... and... I tried a new demo disk with the same results. This other computer is pretty much identical to mine.

One more idea.

Try running the program in XP mode

Right click (I think) > compatability modes > XP (also check always run like this)
