LOL i used to live not to far from the trent , In fact had many lunches out by the fenlon falls lock , bobcageon , Kirkfield, worked also by colborg, peterbrough and so on

Just for the halibut was the name of the place, from the lock head south on the main street, turn left at the next main type street it is on the south side . it is the best i ever had

The best place I ever had fish and chips was in the late 60's as a kid in Toronto. This very nice old English man served it up in newspaper! Not sure if he used haddock or halibut. I do know I was introduced to using vinegar on fries and the fish!
