Default CAHPI Building Fund

I came across this and thought it was interesting. Why anyone would put money in such a scheme is wasteful in my opinion. I would have thought the money would have been better utilized for medical research. That must have been a really bad blow to the head for someone to donate money to a building fund that isn't remotely connected with the accident. But having suffered a number of bad blows to the head over the years myself I guess anything is possible.

With 5,000 inspectors out there all being certified by 2007 I guess we will all be obligated to donate $350! Not!

This is no different then when I was on one of the OAHI committees , we where a exceptionally important dissuasion going on .
I felt we needed to call a special meeting and let the members know what was being decided and to get their impute.
I was asked how we would pay for the hall.
I said take it out of the coffers or charge a token $10.00 to the membership . I was told "( Oh! we can not do that ) ( if we keep spending money foolishly we will never be able to buy our own BUILDING )" .
This was from one of the OAHI God Fathers .
I knew then that OAHI was not going to be the Association for me when they did not wish the members to know what went on in the back room.
To this day I do not think there has been any changes it still is run by the past presidents council and the BOD are just figure heads to carry out what the OAHI God Fathers want.

First I commend Rick Clark for his unselfish and kind considerations. This is not the first time Rick has stepped forward and donated a large sum to causes that "he" believes in. Certainly that choice and decision is his and his alone!

I agree this is Rick Clark's doing Great .
Where I was disapointed is when I as a OAHI member I was not privildeged to where my money went.
I undersatnd the system has not changed and this information is still not shared with the membership.
This far from being treated properly by the secret society .
