What about BCIPI they seem to be doing their own thing. That being the case you will have a licenced association and a voluntary association in BC. Licencing in BC trumps voluntary association membership.

The BC government has spent a lot of time interviewing me and others about the National Certification model. If licensing comes about in BC, the plan right now is to have it structured so a 'Board' will help administer it. This six person 'Board' will have two CAHPI-BC reps, two BCIP reps and two non-aligned or other association reps. The standard for licensing will be the National Certification model because it has been developed and paid for already and the province doesn't want to 'reinvent the wheel.'

So, to be licensed in BC an inspector would need to become a National Certificate Holder. This was the latest version I saw a month ago, but politics being politics, anything is possible.

I don't see how that will fly as BCIPI is under the control of ASTTBC which is a provincial legislated body. The enacting legislation of ASTTBC would have to be changed by the BC government to recognize the melding of the two bodies. BCIPI cannot make any deals without the government approval I believe.

BTW are the Federal Agencies aware that the Editor in Chief - Dave Bottoms - of the Canadian Home Inspector Magazine a CAHPI magazine has been running around threatening people and sending out malicious and vulgar emails? Or how he abused the CAFE with full knowledge of the BOD along with others in management using the board to spread misinformation?

I think CAHPI should be careful about the individuals it has selected in representing its public image Nationally.

Many do I sent some proof to some of the OAHI BOD and included Bill Mullen with some of his threats to me .

Those from BCIPI might get a lower rate because BCIPI has cooperated with CAHPI and has sent somemof its documentation for an equivalency evaluation. This will make it easier to process BCIPI members.

In any event, perhaps the provincial government will contribute some funds.

I don't see how this is relevant, but yes, the government people are very aware of the 'discussions' that have taken place.
