I just received this from a friend:

What A DUMB *****!! Not my friend, the driver!!


This picture is real - not doctored in any way - was taken by a Transportation Supervisor for a company that delivers building materials for84 Lumber St. New Lowell, Ont.?


When he saw it in the parking lot of Home Hardware in Angus,Ont. he went to buy a camera to take pictures.



The car is still running, as can be witnessed by the exhaust.

The driver finally came back after the police were called from the sub station across the road, and he was found crouched behind the rear of the car, attempting to cut the twine around the load!
Luckily, the police stopped him and had the load removed.

The materials were loaded at Home Depot in Barrie, Ont.
Their store manager said they made the customer sign a waiver.

While the plywood and 2X4's are fairly obvious, what you can't see is the back seat, which contains ~ are you ready for this? ? 10 bags of concrete @ 80 lbs. each.

They estimated the load weight at 3000 lbs.
Both back tires exploded, the wheels bent and the rear shocks were driven through the floorboard.


And these people VOTE and live in Clearwater Township

WOW!!

Funny how some things work out, my friend copied 6 other friends with this e-mail, and one of the guys is an executive for an insurance company. When I e-mailed my friend ( copied all 6) to tell him that this is an old story and that it didn't happen in Canada this executive e-mailed me back requesting a commercial inspection in Toronto on Mon.

Haha, thats funny because I know the exact home hardware you speak of and that wasn't it in the pic. Plus the police station that was across the road was moved years ago, Clearview is West of Barrie Mario! LOL....My girlfriend had a similar Jetta a few years back, I can't remember how many boxes of laminate flooring we stuffed in that thing but she sure did squat!

That is why you want to stick to the Golf..... do you really feel the Golf has better suspension than the Jetta?
