CMHC and NACHI

I think it would befitting for NACHI to invite the Reps from CMHC to the National Convention, it would be a good time for Bill and the CMHC guys to hear questions from the floor about NC, and to show that NACHI is a leader in the inspection industry. It would also allow NACHI to parade its CMI designation.

I think that could be a great idea .
With all the Difficulties with the Canadian Associations and the way they treat their members it could be very smart for those who have had enough of the problems to have a good look at NACHI .
More returns many for free and the Cost is considerably less for a membership.

With all the vendors there and inspectors, it would be a great opportunity for CMHC to get the feel and pulse of the inspection industry! We could also invite Canadians for Properly Built Homes, and Tarion would be a good invitee too!

Oh yeah Raymond... now you just ruined my day.... TARION? Just when OAHI hired the COE of Tarion to be the COO for OAHI..... it will only go downhill from here!

He may not want the COO job, once he finds out whats going on with the books, deficit and inflated revenue projections. He won't need a calculator either. Besides its not in the budget.

Hang on its going to be a bumpy ride. Seems the Finance Committee had to seek approval from the Treasurer to buy batteries for their calculators.

Has anyone found out where Head Office is yet? I called the OAHI office today and the answering machine was on, had to endure a lengthy phone message. At the end there was no beep, no way to leave a message. So professional. Will have to call tomorrow and talk to Aubrey.

I think that having C.M.H.C. at the affair is a really great idea. Can they be offered a free booth as an enticement? The various ministers etc should be asked to attend too . Perhaps one of them would step in to fill the "Key note speaker" position that Bill Mullet has vacated?

George I did not think Bill Mullen had steped down Can you please confirm.
That would be most unfortunate and I hope he has not done this .

I would welcome their approval by all means, but I don't see how we can get past the "OAHI/CAHPI Rules" mentality.

You're right, I'm somewhat ignorant to all the facts and history at this time, I have only scratched the surface of what is going on.
Of course NACHI and our members have my support. I want our industry to flourish and inspectors who really care to win in the end. This is my career change I'm in the middle of, so I want what's best for us and our clients.

Be sure to keep your money out of the hands of OAHI. Any self regulating body that won't tell the members where the Head Office is likely has financial difficulties they don't want the membership at large to know about. Stay tuned, more details as they become available.
