Attached, please find a communication that was delivered to key individuals from various national home inspection associations this morning for distribution regarding the recent release of CSA A770 Home Inspection draft standard for public review, available in both English and French. The public review closes December 15, 2014.
The attachments can be shared with your stakeholders as needed.
We noted that as with all CSA Group standards, the draft standard has been developed by a balanced group including regulators, home inspectors, trades, and consumers. This 60-day public review allows the public to participate in its development by providing feedback on the draft. This helps ensure the standard reflects the consensus of opinion of experts and interested parties. We ask that specific technical comments be provided using the online public review process.
Upon consideration of the feedback from the public review process, changes may be made to the draft before the standard is approved by the Technical Committee. CSA Group appreciates and welcomes the involvement and feedback of affected individuals, organizations, and stakeholders.
