Will have the panels installed today I have ordered two more that will take it from 8,00 watts to 8,500 watts .
Should be on line some time around the end of the month... Roy
I am having the inverters installed in Garage . This will heat the Garage in the winter and having a front door always closed and Back door that I leave open in the summer should be no problem . If it is warm enough I will try growing Tomato's in the winter I love tomato's ) . I will also look into a Heat pump water heater to use this heat .

Here is the Finished roof Installation. You can hardly see it from the road .
Expect converters to be installed next week then it is up the hydro to do their hook up . Looks like two ~ weeks .

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner , Char and I both Have been under the weather for the last few weeks . Each panel weighs 23 lbs I have 34 ( 8,500 watts ).
This works out to just under 10 lbs per sq foot with all attachments .
They seem to generate very little heat Guesing about what a 40 watt light gives of .
The engineer was satisfied with my roof and we had 45 year shingles installed last year .
We have had dull sloppy weather since the turn on Dec 21st and they have generated 83 Kw total on the shortest days of the year .
Very nice install and Home Owners insurance cost is about $250;00 a year .
They are Guaranteed for 20 years and life expectancy is much more then that .
I also Have a 20 year contract to sell to the hydro.

Any questions I will try and help .... Roy

Collectors working well some days nothing when covered with snow .
I have not removed the snow let the sun do it .
70 days of operation we have averaged $7;25 a day .
Every thing is automatic waiting for the sender to get installed that will send all info to my computer .

I expect that will continue to go up as the days get longer and the snow ends .
Will try and post frequently ... Roy

Hope all is well. Wish Char all the best from us in Quebec.
Try this Roy.
Remove the snow when it is 3 to 4" inches high.
Several models. They do work.

I think I will pass @ $600;00 a panel it would take many days to pay for it if I damaged it.
I will continue to let the sun melt the snow Thanks for thinking of me... Roy
