It was a newer home, vacant, recently finished basement with ceramic tiles that were lifting off the cement floor, the electrical panel had a knockout missing in the side but no front breaker knockouts missing. A recent steam room....built in the basement!
The elbows on the high efficiency furnace and hot water tank exhaust appeared new. The whole house had been painted. Attic was clear, no foot prints even. But.... seemed suspicious, so I went across the street and asked the neighbor, an elderly lady if there was anything unusual about the house. She smiled and said that a few years ago.... Police, men in white suits and plants removed from the house. I forwarded the information to the realtor and client. Realtor was pleased I went out of my way to investigate. Your thoughts are appreciated. Allan |

Good call. At least now the info is disclosed. Just because it was a grow house does not necessarily mean it hasn't been cleaned up or there was a problem to begin with.

The listing realtor shaould have made the inquiry re: if the house had been used as a grow op as part of the realtor's responsibility
