I did get a refund of the TIPR portion of the fees, paid to the National Certification council, when they cancelled their last TIPR.

Administration fees were not refunded.

Just to correct some information posted in this thread

How many involved without knowing? Unknown.
As perhaps Bill Mullins unintentionally, not thinking about his actions and its effect on Home Inspectors and the industry as a whole was caught up in the HYPE.
I have seen enough and been a willing participant in unintentional misguided slander.
No more. I apologised and hopes all read this.
Only Mr. Mullins can answer that question.
Home Inspectors get caught up in a HYPE.
Marketers, let it be associations, or the ones that deal goods ( materials, advertising, merchandise etc ) all see the opportunity to act fairly or deceive for financial gain.
Outstanding members like Raymond Wand, Roy Cooke deserve an attitude of congratulatory achievement.
The do the industry a service by being self motivated on the industry behalf. Like it or not they do a btter job then the BBB on the Canadian Home Inspection industry's behalf. No financial gain involved.
I myself has lost the hype after seeing what I really walked into by becoming a home inspector.
What a shame and dishonor some do to the industry.
Buyer beware is all I can say.
So Nick I do not think it was intentional nor a scam.
Misguided without thought.
Sure as the sun shines mate!!!!!
Some moneys has been returned to some members and much has to be done to unify this dam industry.
The brokers still run the dam thing mostly and you bicker among yourselves selfishly.


Sorry for the long post but I walked in a year ago to the same rants that only Mr. Mullens can quell.

Yep NHICC fees were less than the NCH, as I recall.
