His web sight rather interesting. Under choosing, he devotes a paragraph tearing NACHI down, along with others, but redcommends ASHI inspectors.
If the only way Raymond can get business is to tear down his competition in such a spiteful manner, he must not be good at home inspection. His only way of advertising is "the other guy is worse than I am"!!! Raymonds "house of cards" is bound to fall down sooner than later. Now that he is exposed as the Romanian asshole, all of Canada will now know real Raymond Wand, a bitter, demented, unbalanced old man. Now, is that who you want inspecting your house?? Raymond will be soley responsible for his own self distruction. But, as he is lead into that padded room, he will blame NACHI!!!! |

ASHI's own Board of Directors member has recently admitted that ASHI now has the lowest requirements of quote: "any inspection association that I know of." And the ASHI Board of Directors member is correct as far as I can tell: http://www.homeinspector.org/join/ap...n/default.aspx

Just going on what and how he "advertises" himself on his own web page.
ASHI gets one line of endorsement, NACHI gets the rest of the paragraph of Rays usual diatribe, of demeaning everything NACHI, including its members, whbo are inspectors in Canada. Go read it for yourself, then you can also post such on your own web sight. You and Ray such ASHI supporters, I am sure your fellow ASHI members are proud of the two of you, as the only way you two can gain any ground, is not by facts, but by discrediting the opposition. Turn about is fair play. You give, you get back. [quote=dharris]Steve.. This must be Raymonds new guest member name. Join date 5/18/08. 14 posts in 13 minutes. Not a bad average.
Will say Ray, you do have an twisted imagination. Unlike you, I may be old, but not stupid. You are so predictable it's pathetic. Have a wonderful evening, what ever is left of it

Gee, Raymond, you were up early, 4AM post, or were you up all night posting your usual nonsense?
Hoodwinked? Don't think so. Got good solid information and made up my own mind (at least I have one) (how about you)? Hoodwinked? Look in the mirror, you have hoodwinked yourself into a self destructive path, sad to watch a grown man go down in flames.

Wow this is sure the place were the drama happens. After reading this thread I can see why this is such a misunderstood industry. There is so much marketing focused on training inspectors and it is very difficult to decide which organization to be a part of. Hearing numbers like 80-90% fail in the first three years does not surprise me. Most don't have enough rope to get the ground work done correctly. In the market place it doesn't seem like anyone cares which organization you belong to as long as you belong to one. Plus it is the only way to get insurance. Fortunately Nachi does not make you spend the thousands to join(even though the education is very valuable) you just have to know your Stuff to become a member. It seems like the other organization makes you jump through too many hoop's to no real end. People just want to know that you are going to give them a honest, thorough, comprehensive report. After what seems to be life time in residential construction I know starting a new business won't be easy but I think there is a real need for good inspectors. Unfortunately this organization receives alot of mud slinging by the others members because they think it is too easy to become a member of NACHI. It seems like brain washed tunnel vision, but I don't want to insult my colleagues that belong to the other group because it seems like they are also my alias in a industry that needs uniformity and structure. I think that is one of their goals. I hope that someday renegade inspectors won't be able to work and the reputation of the home inspection industry's will be like all other professions. REGULATED! No matter which group you belong to everyone needs to follow the same standards of practice.

well gee, Dan, you then are an ASHI member, and awaiting your free NACHI membership. Are you cheap or what!!! That "handfull" of paying dues must being financing the freebees. Their membership cost must be a ton of money!!
Now that I think about it; NACHI won't give you a paid membership, so doubt the ASHI free NACHI membership offer won't work for you. Guess you are just stuck with ASHI, but they will take anyone with a valid credit card. Maybe NAHI will give you a free membership, you can always ask.

Regardless of what any of the naysayers have to say; NACHI ( Nick )
gives more to its' members, and the industry, than anyone, anywhere! As a trainer, I can appreciate all the time, money, and effort on the parts of many staff, and volunteers, that is constantly being put into this amazing association. I have never been an association kind of guy. My experience has been that they all take, take, take! NACHI seems to do just the opposite. They give, and they give, and they give. I for one, am very thankful for this organization, and I will continue to laud its' praises wherever I go. There are always people who are not happy with themselves, who get some kind of sick satisfaction in maligning others who are trying to accomplish great things! Harold J. Lowe C.M.I., C.C.I.
